I have a heat pump system. My old thermostat had O, Y, G, RH wires, the RH & RC terminals had a jumper. The Y terminal was jumpered to the W terminal, there was no C terminal. There was a extra wire that was blue. I connected that wire to the C terminal at the air handler. I connected the old RH wire to the R terminal, the O wire to W-O/B, the Y to the Y, the G to the G and the new C to the C on the new thermostat. Nothing happened when I turned the power back on. The old thermostat also had a jumper from the Y to the W terminals. Do I need to jump the Y and W-O/B or do I put a jumper between Y2 and W2-Aux/E?

Is there a battery? If so where is it located? I’ve had this thermostat for a couple years and it just started crashing and losing connection. It’s currently on and set to 70 but the temp is 65. It won’t respond. I’ve checked breakers, furnace, everything.

I have a Honeywell Home RTH9585WF1004 and live in northern Florida. During winter months days can be warm (a/c) and the nights can be cool (heat). Is there an AUTO function that switches the functions or do I need to manually select the mode?

I received three thermostats for my lake house at Christmas. They worked fine over the last 4 months on HEAT; however, after switching to COOL, I found the temperature on all three floors was over 100 because they were blowing hot air. Switched back to heat to turn them off, but how do I use the air conditioning?
