How do I turn on the washer
Washer stops at rinse cyle
Try selecting drain/spin. If your machine does not drain, which it will before spinning, check that the drain hose is not clogged. If the drain hose is clear, from the limited information here I would say the pump is not turning on.

Lid will not lock
how long does it take from start of wash to start of final rinse? Our machine did not come with a fabric softener dispenser, so this is how I have to add fabric softener.
The washer stops at the wash cycle. The green light is on the wash cycle but nothing happens. The lid is not locked. It does not proceed past these cycle.
